Spay - Neuter - Adopt License Plates

Spay ~ Neuter ~ Adopt Washington License Plate

Each year, nearly 150,000 cats and dogs enter shelters across Washington. By purchasing the Spay ~ Neuter ~ Adopt specialty license plate, you’re helping fund vital spay and neuter surgeries for pets in need across the state.

Why Spay and Neuter?
Spaying and neutering is the most humane and effective way to reduce pet overpopulation. It prevents unwanted litters, lowers shelter intake, and improves the health and behavior of pets.

Meet the Faces of the Plate
The license plate design features Dory, a tabby cat, and Laurie, a mixed-breed dog—both once shelter residents who now have loving homes.

How Your Purchase Helps

  • $28 from each plate (new or renewal) goes directly to The Federation

  • 100% of funds support spay/neuter grants for Washington-based animal welfare organizations

  • Since 2007, over $615,000 has been awarded

  • Nearly 20,500 surgeries have been funded, helping low-income pet owners and community cats
